Educational work

1) Educational work among students is carried out according to the plan of the educational work of the department and the work plan of the curators. The curators of the groups monitor the current, intermediate performance of students. The results of the control weeks are discussed at group meetings and at the meetings of the department.

Master's Courses

In the 2014-2015 academic year, the Department of Metallurgy of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan issued license No. 12019073 dated 14.11.2012 (Appendix No. 006 of 27.06.2014) for the preparation of masters in the specialty 6M070900- "Metallurgy".

Within the framework of the state order, the preparation of masters in the specialty 6M070900- "Metallurgy" with the duration of training 1; 1,5 and 2 years.

Scientific directions

The main scientific direction is the theory and technology of complex processing of substandard natural and technogenic raw materials of non-ferrous and ferrous metallurgy by chloride-reduction and sublimation methods.

Research work at the department is conducted on state budget and grant financing, in accordance with the priority areas of the country's development.

Educational methodical work

The educational process is carried out in accordance with the modular educational programs and working curricula for the specialty 5B070900 - "Metallurgy".

Training of specialists is conducted in special disciplines, including compulsory basic, profiling disciplines and at the choice of students, assigned to the State Defense Committee in the specialty.

According to the results of the 2016-2017 academic year, OPChemical technologiesfor organic substances occupies a leading position:

News

On November 24, 2017 at 15:00 in 127 classes of the building "A" of the South Kazakhstan State University named after M. Auezov with the joint efforts of the Higher School "Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology" and young contenders and designers of the Small Academy "ARCHIMED & Perpetuum mobile"was organized a meeting of leading scientists  of SKSU n.a.  M. Auezov with pupils and students.

History of the chair

Кафедра « Металлургия » была создана в ЮКГУ им. М. Ауезова в 2011 году.

Основой для создания кафедры являлась подготовка в университете (в бывшем КазХТИ) с 1964г. Инженеров – химико – технологов электротермических производств, для предприятий производства фосфора, карбида кальция, электрометаллургии.

The chair "Metallurgy" is a part of the Higher School "Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology". The department is a graduate, organized in 2011 on the basis of the decision of the University Council (Order No. 210 dated 05.09.11).

The department provides training of personnel:

- Bachelor of specialty 5В070900 - "Metallurgy"

- Master of specialty 6M070900 - "Metallurgy".

History of the chair

История кафедры начиается с 1973 года, когда Министерством высшего и среднего специального образования Казахской ССР было принято решение о подготовке инженеров по технологии очистки природных вод и промышленных выбросов в КазХТИ. В этом же году был осуществлен первый набор студентов на специальность 1217 технол.очистки прирохных и сточных вод в составе кафедры «Технология неорганических веществ».
